The team at R&D Funding Group are now back at work following the festive break and would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. 2023 will see some big changes to the research and development funding that is available to businesses as the rates of R&D Tax Credits for SMEs will reduce from April and plans are afoot for a single RDEC type scheme for businesses of all sizes. We are yet to discover what the latter will look like and how much of an impact it will have on innovation in the UK.
There will also be potential changes to some funding rules for grant opportunities as from 4th January 2023 the Subsidy Control Act 2022 will provide a new legal framework for subsidies in the UK. Specific guidance for new competitions will be updated from this month. Detailed guidance on the UK’s Subsidy Control Regime and the new act can be found here.
We will bring you news of all the impending changes as it is announced but for now we give you a round-up of all the grant funding competitions currently open for entries from innovative business across the UK. This list will be updated on a weekly basis throughout the first quarter of 2023, as new opportunities are announced. A new list will be published at the start of Quarter 2.
